Grab your running shoes, your bike or the stroller and get ready to hit the trails in Starkey Ranch. Today you'll find more than 12 miles of wide paved trails, part of the planned 20-mile trail system within the community. Soon our trails will connect with the amazing nature trails in the Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Preserve as well as its 6.7-mile paved trail that connects to the 42-mile Suncoast Trail. At Starkey Ranch it's all about feeling your best through a healthy outdoorsy lifestyle.
In Starkey Ranch you'll find not one but four dog parks. In Whitfield Park, there's Woof-field Park for the big guys and Barker Park for lap dogs and better. In Homestead Park you'll find Houndstead Park. In Cunningham Park you'll find Dog Paddle Park, with access to Cannon Lake for dogs that love to get wet. In Albritton Park you will discover Howl Britton Park with a split gate for those families that have both large and small pups. These are places for off-leash fun and socialization for pups and their people. Residents of Esplanade have a private dog park, too.
At Starkey Ranch we've created all kinds of parks. Cunningham Park is for gathering, gardening and getting out on the water. Whitfield Park, Homestead Park and Albritton Park have pools, playgrounds and big lawns for running, tumbling and picnics. There are little pocket parks for sit-under-a-tree reading and tiny mews parks within neighborhoods that create private front-yard common lawns. Everywhere you turn, there's a park for most anything you feel like doing. Come out to the neighborhood and explore them all.
